SHOW CANCELLED: Spencer Albee will perform at Sap House Meadery’s Dinner and Show Concert Series on Thursday, September 5 at 5:30 p.m. A songwriter, producer, and multi-instrumentalist, Albee will play a set that includes new songs from his upcoming album, “One More Time, with Feeling.”
“I’m really looking forward to returning to Sap House,” said Albee, who noted he played at the venue with his duo group, Palomino Motel, in 2022. “They set everything up perfectly. The dinner and concert are thoughtfully presented in a nice space.”
Albee started playing music in 1995 in Portland, Maine, and he has since been a member of a number of bands. He currently plays with the group, Spencer and the Walrus, and musician Griffin William Sherry. He has toured with artists including De La Soul, Butch Walker, and Steel Pulse. He’s recorded with David Bowie.
“My musical style darts all over the map,” said Albee, who described some of his music as “Beck-ish” and said he draws inspiration from the mid-1970s. “Two of my idols are Paul McCartney and Steve Miller.”
Co-founder of Sap House Meadery, Matt Trahan said they are thrilled Albee is returning in August. “We are excited for the dinner and show with Spencer,” he said. “It’s going to be an exclusive opportunity to hear some of his unreleased music.”
Albee is busy with shows in New England this summer, and he will tour in the western and southern U.S. this fall at which time he plans to also release his album, “One More Time, with Feeling.” His music is available on Spotify, and more information about Albee can be found at spenceralbee.com.
